AGENDA

ETF NETWORK FOR EXCELLENCE (ENE) “AUTONOMY OF CENTRES OF VOCATIONAL EXCELLENCE IN FORGING PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS IN VET AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT”

14 SEPTEMBER 2021, 9:30 – 12:30, ONLINE TECHNICAL MEETING

SUMMARY

ENE is unique in being an international network of CoVEs with more than 20 countries.

The Network has established 8 sub-initiatives focusing on excellence dimensions. Around each sub-initiative a number of activities for COVEs interested in the specific dimension are organised. Among activities are online meetings of the sub-initiative groups. This meeting takes place within the sub-initiative focusing on autonomy of VET centres and PPP in VET and skills development.

It appears that CoVEs are granted, with more or less degree of autonomy, covering different aspects of school management, by central and/or regional powers. This means that CoVEs are also playing a key role on different forms of decentralizing VET and Skills policies and systems.

This event represents the bridging point from the phase implemented in 2020 (phase 1) and the phase to be implemented in 2021-2022 (phase 2). It will address and will bring together the ENE network, practitioners and experts from the partner countries of the ETF and the EU that are already part of this sub-initiative. At the same time it will be the occasion to welcome the new members who expressed an interest in this sub-initiative.

The meeting will be the opportunity to share results achieved in the first year of implementation of the ENE, sharing findings and knowledge from the baseline study conducted in the country of the current members of the sub-initiative (namely Azerbaijan, Finland, Georgia, Israel, Morocco, The Netherlands, Tunisia, Turkey). Furthermore, the meeting has the objective to discuss questions related to those findings and to collect inputs also from the new members joining this initiative (Spain, Ukraine and Kazakhstan).

Finally, priorities and actions forwards for the network in 2021- 2022 will be presented.

The event will be organized on a half day and it will allow for interactivity amongst participants to foster discussion and facilitate networking.
